What’s new on the Invoices page?
The Invoices page isn’t new, but it’s better than ever. With these latest improvements, you can now do more with your invoice data, tailor the page to your specific needs, and find exactly what you’re looking for with ease. Here’s what’s been updated:
1. Export to CSV for custom reporting
We know many of you rely on Excel to manage and analyze your invoice data across different systems. That’s why we’ve added a highly requested feature—exporting invoice data to CSV. Whether you're auditing expenses, comparing invoices with time trackers, or generating reports for your finance team, you can now export exactly the information you need with just a few clicks.
Gone are the days of copying and pasting data from the screen. The new export to CSV functionality gives you the freedom to generate reports on the fly. Filter your data, choose the columns you need, and export the information—ready to be shared or analyzed in Excel.
2. Filter by job owner, Talent name, Project
One of the biggest pain points we heard from our customers was the difficulty in filtering and sorting invoices by specific criteria. Now, with the updated filter options, you can quickly narrow down invoices based on Talent Name, Job Owner, Project, and more. If you're responsible for only a portion of your company’s talent, you can now easily view just your team’s invoices, avoiding unnecessary clutter.
Whether you’re looking for invoices related to a specific project, checking the status of a payment, or pulling up invoices from a specific talent, the improved filters help you get there with minimal effort.
3. New columns for more complete data
We’ve also added additional columns of information to the invoice table, giving you a more detailed view at a glance. You can now see Talent Email Address, Start and End Dates of contracts, PO numbers, and other key details that were previously buried inside individual invoices. This change not only makes it easier to get a quick overview of your data but also reduces the time spent jumping between pages.
4. Customize your columns to suit your needs
No two businesses are the same, so we’ve introduced the ability for users to customize which columns are visible on the invoice table. Choose the columns that matter most to you—whether it’s hours billed, rate, or project details—and we'll save your preferences for a more streamlined experience every time you come back.

Why we made these changes
Managing invoices is a core function for many Braintrust clients, especially as companies scale. Clients, particularly larger ones with multiple talent contracts and significant budgets, needed more flexibility and speed when dealing with invoices.
