3 weeks ago we launched Braintrust AIR, the world’s first fully autonomous recruiting platform, and reception has been phenomenal.
- The demo video has racked up over 725,000+ views and 46,000 likes on YouTube, and over 4.5M views across platforms.
- We received coverage in Fortune, Yahoo!, Semafor, ZDNet, SuperHuman and MANY more. We were named #1 on a list of the 10 Best AI Recruiting Tools from United AI and #4 on ProductHunt on our launch day.
- 20+ customers, including Nestle, Motley Fool, and Guardian Life, signed up to pilot the technology and we’re already signing contracts.
- AIR will be a new SaaS revenue stream for Braintrust that also feeds the marketplace (new hires resulting from AIR also pay the 15% Braintrust marketplace fee). SaaS + Marketplace is like peanut butter and chocolate.
I’ve had HUNDREDS of conversations with investors, enterprise customers, reporters, and leading industry analysts that all experience the “holy sh*t” moment when they see AIR actually conduct an in-depth interview.

And now, on to our business updates:
Sales: We closed Q1 with GSV at 99% to target (up 2% MoM; $19.6M vs. $19.7M target) and GCV at 85% to target (up 49% MoM; $6.4M vs. $4.3M in March) We’ve ramped the sales team and armed everyone with the hottest and most compelling technology on the market; now we are in full sales mode. The team runs live demos with customers daily and turns skeptics into believers simply by showing how it works. And we already have customers interested in buying a SaaS model from us, which will change the game in this business.
Marketing: We’ve generated a ton of interest in the launch, and now it’s our job to turn these into actual leads for our sales team. We’ll continue the push on PR, social media, and events and allocate some budget to other tests. If you have any ideas for partnerships or places we could live-demo AIR, please let me know.
Talent: We had another record-breaking month, achieving our biggest single talent signup month again, with over 75,490 new talent signups, a 26.6% increase MoM. Our talent community now tops 875k members.
Connectors: We’re seeing a record number of Connectors join to make referrals. They now have a brand new metric dashboard that shows how their activity is paying off. Just since launch it yielded four new referred clients, and 11 new job openings.
Product:
- Yet another HUGE month for product development, with three different development squads firing on all cylinders to launch the AI Job Description Generator - that 40% of our clients have already used to post jobs.
- We now 2-way integrate with all major ATS (applicant tracking systems) so we can automatically capture more jobs for clients without any effort from them.
- Recurring auto-talent invitations invite high-match talent to apply, improving talent liquidity and further shortening our time to fill.
- The Q2 roadmap focuses on delivering AIR and the full AI recruiting experience for our clients for all roles (not just tech) for our clients. This involves a pure SaaS version of AIR where clients use AIR on their own candidate pipeline, reducing screening cost and time by orders of magnitude.
- Before the end of May, we’ll wide-release our BTRST token engagement features on the Professional Network (gamifying career help) - all on Coinbase’s BASE L2.
- We also upgraded the BTRST token purchase system, which uses client fees to purchase BTRST and replenish the on-chain treasury. We’ll be tweeting each time it happens for better transparency - see the first one here. All activity can be tracked from the network dashboard: info.braintrust.com
